Cardinal Pole has continued to see students excel at its outstanding Sixth Form this year with 100% of students passing their post-16 studies. Three quarters of students achieved grades A*-C in their final GCE exams this Summer and nearly half of students secured the top grades of A*-B. There was particular success in Art, Drama, Geography, History and Further Maths where 100% of students achieved a C grade or above. In the latter two, student progress at Cardinal Pole put them in the top 25% of students in the country. We saw equally strong results in our vocational qualifications, where 100% of students achieved Merits or above in all areas; this was once again well above national averages. As a result of these, and many other exceptional performances, our strong tradition of Cardinal Pole alumni attending some of the best universities in the country and abroad has been continued with over 30% of students securing places at Russell group universities, including Cambridge University, UCL and the University of Nottingham.
