Assessment for Learning

All pupils’ progress is regularly monitored and each pupil is made aware of a) how they are performing and b) how to improve.

Assessment for Learning is one of the school’s key priorities and each year pupils are set targets and each term are assessed in all subjects.

Subject teachers are responsible for informing pupils on their progress and how to improve through learning conversations and diagnostic marking.

A learning audit takes place for each pupil twice a year, which reviews their overall performance in addition to looking at behaviour, attendance and homework.

Where necessary parents are invited to discuss the pupil’s learning audit with their form tutor.
